Regulations: camping in the Valencian Region

Camping in nature in the Valencian Community is an activity regulated by law, which requires prior authorization in both camping areas and itinerant camping. As a general rule, camping is only allowed in the so-called free camping areas, which are areas prepared for this purpose, prior reservation and authorization by the interested parties (so the name of free camping, in fact, is a bit confusing). If you want to read more about the regulations, you can do so here.

As for the areas of free camping zones, there are some regulated by the Generalitat Valenciana, and others dependent on the Diputación de Alicante. The latter are the natural areas of Alicante Natura. For those seeking more comfort, we can resort to hostels, cabins, campsites and other facilities that make it possible to enjoy camping in the province of Alicante.
