About LinkAlicante
What is LinkAlicante?
LinkAlicante is a personal project that, thanks to Fernando Prieto, was born in October 2007 with the aim of highlighting the natural areas and cultural heritage of the province of Alicante through informative articles on hiking trails and places of interest.
With this project I hope to do my bit for the preservation of our wide, varied and outstanding natural and cultural heritage, as well as to promote among my readers a conscious and respectful approach towards our mountains, valleys, rivers, ravines, villages, beaches…
Through LinkAlicante I hope to infect you with this vision of respect towards nature and the cultural legacy associated with it.
They have trusted us...

Hiking and Cultural Heritage
The main content of LinkAlicante are the hiking routes in the province of Alicante and Comunidad Valenciana, as well as cultural visits to different towns and cities of our regions.
All of this with a focus on preservation, encouraging my readers to a conscious and respectful approach to nature.
Our commitments are an inseparable part of the project and its philosophy.
I target a wide audience, ranging from people who are just starting out in hiking, to more experienced users; although it is true that the former will probably be the ones who find my contents more interesting.
In LinkAlicante you will also find publications about charming places to visit, ideas for weekend getaways, photography of mountain and/or coastal landscapes, and other articles related to nature and associated cultural heritage (dry stone architecture, castles and defensive elements, snow wells, etc).

"I have long enjoyed approaching the mountains through Fernando's camera and heart. Perhaps because his snapshots exude passion for the mountains and, above all, a deep respect for them. Respect for their value, for their beauty and because they are ours, or rather, because we are theirs."
"Link", an anglicism that we use to speak of link, link ... but also of union and connection ... and that is LinkAlicante, a website where Fernando Prieto, through his eyes, acts as a bridge, connects us with our mountains, our sea, our landscapes.
"For years, LinkAlicante has been a real reference when looking for resources about the mountains of Alicante. Fernando Prieto meticulously travels the Costa Blanca choosing the best places to show them through beautiful texts and a very careful photography. His website reminds us, as John Muir said, that the mountains are calling us. Let's go to meet them.
"Fernando Prieto is in love with our land, with
our landscapes, with our mountains, a passion that
is evident in his photographs: because photographers, to a good
extent, are what we photograph".
About Fernando Prieto
Hi, how are you? I’m Fernando Prieto, the author of LinkAlicante.
I was born in Alicante in 1979, and I studied Computer Engineering at university. However, my passion for nature led me to look for a professional career closer to the outdoors and the mountains.
For me, nature is a sacred place, where I go with respect and admiration, where I meet myself and recharge myself with the energy of the natural elements.
As a form of gratitude to Mother Earth, I wish to collaborate in the preservation of natural spaces, either within the province of Alicante, or anywhere in the world.
One of the aspects that I would like to highlight in my experience as author of LinkAlicante, is the fact of having been able to meet great people during these years. People like Angel Valero or Raul Saez, with whom I became friends from the beginning. On the trailrunner side, José Manuel Domenech, Vicente Roig and Miguel Flor. And just to mention some of them: Javier Morcillo, Estefanía FG, Ricardo Giménez, Franma Collado, Emilio Rosillo, Just I. Sellés, Pels Sauco, Àngels Domenech, Fran Moreno, Raúl Vicedo, Marcos Molina, Fran Lucha, Maria Roselló, Marina Vega… (and I’m sorry because I’m sure I’m leaving a lot of people out…)
I take advantage of the fact that you are here to invite you to subscribe to LinkAlicante, so that we can get to know each other better through the weekly newsletter.
Finally, if you would like to send me your comments, propose a collaboration or a commercial idea, or any other question, please do not hesitate to contact me.
